Bonded warehouse
Vos Transport transports client’s goods from across the globe to The Netherlands. We are AEO-certified (Authorised Economic Operator), which means that we transport goods globally to the highest quality standards. We do this by sea (short sea and deep sea), by air, by road and by rail. Naturally, we are involved in the entire process, including from the ports of Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Moerdijk and Antwerp to our warehouse in Alblasserdam. Here you may use our customs warehouse if required.
Bonded warehousing
A bonded warehouse is designed to temporarily store or transfer your goods to the country of your destination, without paying import duties and VAT. If you want to use our bonded warehouse, depending on your instructions, we will take the goods into storage or transport them to their final destination. Our customs experts take care of any additional customs handling. This way, we aim to relieve you of the hassle, so that you can leave your goods with us, in a secured environment. Once your goods are with us in Alblasserdam, we will take care of further handling. This includes unloading and loading containers. We also carry out post-processing of your goods as required. For instance, sorting, groupage, stickering, sampling and/or sealing.
Benefits of bonded warehousing
By using our bonded warehouse in Alblasserdam, you do not need to pay import duties and VAT. Only when the goods are released for free circulation in the European Union, the import duties and VAT are settled. If the goods leave the EU, you do not even have to pay import duties and VAT at all. This is a big advantage. After all, it often happens that you do not know in advance what the final destination of the goods will be. When storing in our bonded warehouse, it is not yet clear what the final destination of the goods is. Moreover, for production-based using our bonded warehouse is also interesting for companies with a production process. You may not know in advance whether the raw materials will be used for production in or outside the EU. With our bonded warehouse, the goods can be stored under customs supervision. Then, when the production process actually starts, the goods are released for free circulation or can be placed under inward processing.

Besides storage in our bonded warehouse, Vos Transport also offers other services. We offer inbound and outbound warehousing, dry storage and cold storage. Our warehouse in Alblasserdam is strategically located between Rotterdam, Moerdijk and Antwerp. With our large area for dry storage and cold storage, you can easily accommodate your conditioned goods temporarily before we ship them (or have them shipped) to their destination.
